Kino Lorber is the American workhorse of catalogue cinema: hundreds of releases a year under the Kino Lorber Studio Classics banner, from film noir to silent restorations, usually with commentary tracks by film historians.

Discs are almost always Region A. For European buyers that makes Kino a label for the region-free player, not the living-room default.

Buying in Europe: Import only with a region-free player, or look for the same restoration licensed to a European label; that happens often.
